include:
Gentle – A gentle workout for those wishing to get started and walk at a slower pace. Also great for senior’s or for those rehabilitating an injury.
Level 1 – A 60 minute brisk paced walk for healthy individuals.
Level 2 – A brisk paced walk with several exercises placed near the beginning, middle and end of the walk. Lots of fun with short bursts of exercises between the brisk walks.
Fat Burning Nordic Walking - Is a great way to burn fat as your primary source of energy. This class is focused on getting you working at a 'steady state', lower intensity level with short intervals of pace change to maximize your workout.
BBC ( Butt, Balance and Core) Nordic Walking– This Nordic Walking class has short intervals of BBC exercises which are placed in the beginning, middle and near the end of the class. The variety of BBC exercises help firm the butt, improve balance and target the core while getting all the great benefits of nordic walking. These exercises are functional and popular with personal trainers. The use of hills, variety of speeds, tubing and variety of poling action all help to make this class not only challenging but fun. This class is great for anyone who is intermediate to advanced in their fitness level.
Pilates & Tone Nordic Walking - Pilates is a system of exercises to strengthen and stretch the body to improve muscle tone, posture and core stabilization. This class is designed to integrate traditional and standing pilates moves, muscle toning exercises, tubes and variety of poling action throughout the hour to keep you motivating. Even if you've never taken pilates before, this class is great for beginner to advanced.
YOGA Nordic Walking - This nordic walking class has short intervals of traditional yoga poses and breathing exercises for long term health benefits, increased flexibility, strength and muscle toneness with all the great benefits of nordic walking.
5k, 10k and ½ Marathon Nordic Walk Training – Quality workouts 1x per week with your Instructor using a variety of intervals and hill work. 2x per week working out on own. Course includes use of ‘Urban Poles’ for class, instructions on proper use of poles for Nordic walking, an outlined workout schedule, fit/nutrition tips, guidance and assistance with race registration. This class is great for anyone wishing to prepare/enter a race or for those very fit/conditioned individuals looking for a challenge.
